Brave Bean was founded by a United States Air Force veteran who discovered his first real cup of coffee while deployed in Colombia — and brought that obsession home to Pitcairn, Pennsylvania, where he grew up.
We roast in small batches in Pitcairn and serve two cafés in the Pittsburgh area — on the North Shore and in Pitcairn itself. Every bag that leaves our roastery was cupped, packed, and signed off by people who take ownership seriously. A portion of every sale goes to veteran charities.
